Free ferry to Ocracoke Island.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation has one of the finest and best run ferry systems in the nation and offers a free ferry ride between Hatteras and Ocracoke Island.

Designed as an all purpose recreation complex, the Fessenden Center offers basketball, pool, meeting rooms, skateboard ramps, baseball, soccer field, senior, adult and youth acivities.

Cape Hatteras Anglers Club

The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club was founded in 1957 by dedicated surf fishermen and tourists to promote, develop, conserve, protect and sponsor surf fishing on Hatteras island and beyond.

Native American Museum

A museum featuring interesting historic artifacts from many Native American tribes as well as the original inhabitants of Hatteras Island on display. Also take a walk into history on the scenic nature trail.

Hatteras Village Open Marlin Tournament

Once a year every spring Hatteras Village hosts an exciting blue marlin tournament as a leg of the prestigious North Carolina Governor's Cup with support of the Hatteras Village Civic Assoc.

Hatteras Lighthouse

Visit the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and all its many attractions including walking trails, shopping and displays and an opportunity to climb the lighthouse for a spectacular view (if you are in good physical shape).

Watch the offshore charter boats off load their spectacular catches onto the docks at any one of the many marinas when they return between 4pm and 5pm from their day of blue water fishing with their day's guests.
