Ocracoke Island

Looking for a fun day trip! Take the ferry over to Ocracoke Island to enjoy 16 miles of beach, the charming downtown area, and learn a bit about the unique Island history. It's a must stop location for any OBX vacation! The Island is also a part of the The Outer Banks Scenic Byway that runs from Whalebone Junction in Nags Head all the way to Ceder Island in Carteret County.

Ocracoke discurages the use of cars and the speed limit in the village is 20 mph. Its the prefect place to walk, ride a bike, or rent a golf cart. Almost nothing in the village is more than a mile away! Dont want to walk hop aboard the free tram that circles the village every 30-minutes.
